Glen Powell
was born in Belmont, CA graduated from Sequoia High School before entering San Jose Bible College (now known as William Jessup University). Between High School and College Glen worked on tug boats, gaining the rank of captain. He married Ruth Still in 1951 and began a 37 year ministry at Sunset Beach Christian Church. His involvement with the Church and Community has been notable and his care and guidance to hundreds of individuals coming through the North Shore has helped many.
Glen and Ruth have three children, five grandchildren and two great grands. Over the years he worked in construction, doing major projects for military and private companies, working on Kauai, Hawaii, Oahu and Guam. After retirement from the church and from construction, Glen has enjoyed working with other skills (wood working and raising and processing coffee) and has kept active with the church.
